Carpenters

1. Construction & Installation

Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.

Build frameworks, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden structures.

Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and cabinetry.

Install drywall, insulation, and other materials as needed.

2. Blueprint Reading & Planning

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.

Plan and lay out work to ensure accurate dimensions and quality.

3. Repairs & Maintenance

Inspect and repair existing wooden structures and fixtures.

Replace damaged or rotten wood and ensure stability and safety.

4. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain a clean and organized worksite to prevent accidents.

Adhere to local building codes and regulations.

5. Tool & Equipment Maintenance

Operate and maintain carpentry tools and machinery such as saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns.

Keep tools clean and in good working condition.

6. Teamwork & Communication

Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and laborers.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding project status and issues.
